What is IPL?

A perfect choice when you want to remove and reduce the appearance of pigmentation and broken capillaries in your skin, IPL is a light based-therapy that produces fantastic results. The therapy works by shining beams of light onto your face.

Photo-Rejuvenation Treatment

Used during photo-rejuvenation, the IPL infiltrates the skin to effectively reduce and remove discolouration, age spots, redness, fine lines and many more skin flaws. This treatment also produces collagen in your skin which helps to smooth and eliminate wrinkles and fine lines from your face.

As well as producing the desired result, this treatment can also be used on most skin types including Asian skin tones. I also alter the setting of the IPL system to ensure the treatment targets the areas on your face that you want to improve.

Red Veins and Skin Tag Treatment

Consisting of electrolysis to remove red thread veins, spider naevi, campbell de morgan spots, warts and millia from the face and body areas, this treatment produces fantastic results. To identify how many courses of treatment you need, a consultation is required. For your peace of mind and hygiene purposes, a disposable probe is used for each treatment.

IPL Hair Removal – What Is It?

Used to reduce hair growth, IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) targets and removes hair from the follicle. This is a revolutionary treatment that is a safe alternative to the standard hair removal techniques such as waxing, depilating and shaving.

How Many Treatments Do I Need?

Hair growth occurs in three phases and permanent results can be achieved after one phase. Therefore, a course of between 6-10 treatments is usually required to achieve the desired result. Facial hair is affected by hormonal imbalances, and consequently, a course of 10-12 treatments may be required.

Is the Suitable Treatment for Me?

After your in-depth consultation and patch test have been carried out, I will give you an indication of what results you can expect to achieve. SkinBase IPL is a highly-regarded treatment that produces impressive results on nearly all skin types except very dark skin.

An advantage of a SkinBase system is that unlike other IPL systems, the settings can be changed to suit your specific skin and hair combination. Please note, white, red and grey hairs do not respond to any IPL or laser treatments.
